Robert Kang Joins Gish PLLC as a Partner

Rob joins Gish after more than fifteen years of practice, most recently as a partner in the Intellectual Property group at Winston & Strawn LLP. He has litigated high-stakes IP disputes across a range of technologies, including semiconductors, cybersecurity and computer networking, telecommunications, medical devices, and electronic payment systems. His arrival further accelerates the firm’s growth in California and reinforces its commitment to building a premier IP litigation boutique in the Bay Area.

Rob has represented both patentees and accused infringers, securing four consecutive victories for PayPal, Inc. in NPE litigation, and helping obtain a $400 million settlement for Cisco Systems, Inc. in its dispute against Arista Networks. “I am extremely excited to join the experienced team at Gish PLLC,” Rob said. “The firm has built something truly distinctive — a deep bench of elite litigators operating with the agility and focus of a boutique. Rob received his law degree cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and previously served as a patent examiner at the USPTO.
