Gish PLLC announced today that Christopher Gerson has joined the firm as a Partner. Mr. Gerson joins the firm after over fifteen years practicing at Kirkland & Ellis, Venable, and Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he represented high-profile clients in cases involving complex technologies such as semiconductors, computer hardware and software, and telecommunications. Chris has counseled clients on disputes in front of district courts, the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Federal Circuit. He also routinely leverages his background in engineering to advise clients on negotiation and licensing efforts as well as portfolio-level strategies.
Chris has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants. On behalf of patent owners, he has represented technology companies in connection with global enforcement and licensing campaigns, secured jury verdicts as large as nine-figures, and represented a leading technology company in an ITC action that resulted in an exclusion order against a key competitor. For defendants, Chris’ successes include a complete defense victory for a technology company against a plaintiff alleging infringement of multiple patents related to computer processing technology, Markman decisions that have resulted in plaintiffs stipulating to non-infringement, and the invalidation of numerous patents as a result of successful IPR proceedings.

Chris received his law degree from New York University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
